MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA (WCCO) — A Minnetonka teen is hoping A new book he wrote can help benefit cats.
Justin Anderson wrote a book called “Saving Stripes: A Kitty’s Story.” It’s written from the perspective of their cat, Stripes.
Justin started writing it the day his family rescued Stripes from a park in Minnetonka last year.
The 14-year-old freshman at Wayzata High School signed copies of the book at Chuck and Don’s in Wayzata Sunday.
There, he told WCCO why this story is important to tell.
“I hope that people won’t just see cats in the woods and shrug it off and keep walking. I’m hoping that people would actually save them,” he said.
All proceeds from the book will be donated to S.O.S. Rescue Relief of Plymouth, which runs the Adopt-A-Pet Shop. It is a storefront the public can visit to meet adoptable cats that before arriving in the shop were cared for by rescues throughout the Twin Cities.
