Man Accused Of Shooting Neighbor’s Two Cats. Will The Punishment Fit The Crime?


BISMARCK, NORTH DAKOTA - There is mow warrant for the arrest of a man wanted for shooting two cats with arrows in Bismarck.
A woman found her two cats shot with arrows in her yard in early November.
Kristof Gilliam, the suspect in the case called Police a day after the second cat was found.

Gilliam told Police he accidentally shot a cat with an arrow while he was practice target shooting in his backyard.

The suspect and the victim are neighbors.

Police say they have found a box of arrows on Gilliam’s property which matched the brand of arrow found in both cats.

Gilliam is now charged with two counts of animal cruelty.

Each charged is punishable by up to 5 years in prison.

But will the punishment fit the crime?
