MALAYSIA - Just because their owners may be headed off on holiday doesn’t mean cats don’t also deserve a break from the rat race.
A luxury hotel, which is located in Damansara, outside Kuala Lumpur, has been set up to offer pampered moggies the ultimate stay with services including playtime, grooming and dating for female felines who are in heat.
Catzonia has a total of four room types with the top end Very Very Important Cat (VVIC) bedrooms featuring a mini playground, 24 hour temperature control and three beds so that pet families can stay together. Guests are also served three ‘special’ meals a day.
The 35-bedroom hotel’s website stated: ‘We believe that cats need holidays too.
‘They always prefer to be treated as a boss. It means the environment must be felt like home, always being cuddled and hugged, and most importantly they don’t want to feel lonely.’
Indulged animals can remain at the hotel for three hours or for up to a year.
Worried owners who want to keep an eye on their furry friends can also monitor them themselves via their mobile phone, 24 hours a day.
