In Butler County, PA, Peggy Tabachka’s was horrified to learn that her cat was trapped in concrete.
“I went over and I laid on the concrete, and I was crying, saying goodbye,” Tabachka told a reporter. “Then I heard her.”
Tabachka worked with friends to get the cat out of the earth, eventually calling in the fire department for some extra help. Firefighters called in a local landscaping company for the job.
Using sledgehammers and a circular saw, the rescuers were able to break the concrete without injuring the cat.
All of those involved in the rescue refused to be compensated for saving the precious fur-baby.
Boo was dirty and smelled like concrete, but otherwise, he was fine.
