Rescue officials said 29 cats were found at one home this week, hiding behind furniture and appliances. More cats were even found in the ceiling.
The humane society said it will cost them $100 per cat, to spay or neuter and vaccinate them all. Plus, another $40 per week for food and another $400 for flea, worm and ear mite medication which most of them need.
“These babies need you! We have rescued and to keep our promise to them, and we need your assistance,” the humane society said on its Facebook page.
Then, on Thursday, the humane society posted that three additional cats were found inside a plastic container in the park on Cook Avenue.
Rescue officials said these cats that were found were hot and hungry and it was anyone’s guess how long they had been stuffed inside the plastic bin.
The cats are all between the ages of 1 and 3 years old, and they will not be available until they have cleared their two week quarantine.
The three cats are named Jingle, Jangle and Jessica, all named after characters in the holiday movie entitles, A Year without a Santa Claus.
