17 Persian Cats Rescued from Middletown Cat Mill, Animal Rescuers Say

MIDDLETOWN, OHIO - About 20 cats were rescued from what a rescue group is calling a “cat mill” at a Middletown home.

The group Joseph’s Legacy Rescue removed 17 Persian cats from the home over the weekend. The animals spanned in age from 6 months to 15 years old.

The cats were living in one bedroom in filthy cages and many of them have severe health issues, the rescuers say.

The group said the owner surrendered all of the cats voluntarily.

The rescue group will place the animals in foster homes until they are able to be adopted.
