Stray Holly had to have a cancerous tumour removed from behind her ear before it caused her some very serious health issues.
The friendly kitty went under the knife earlier this month, surviving what vets described as a successful operation.
But in doing so, it meant she would have to lose the bulk of her skull - leaving her with just half of the head she had before.
Greg Weeks is manager of the Llys Nini Animal Centre in Swansea, South Wales, which cared for this homeless cat.
He said: ‘Holly came into the centre as a stray at the beginning of the month.”
‘She had cancer of the ear which has now been all sorted.
‘She was not in the best of conditions on arrival and we have reason to believe that she is also deaf.’

Greg and his team are hopeful that they will now be able to find their fixed-up furry friend a loving new home
It is estimated that Holly is about 11 years old.
‘She is a lovely little cat, and I’m sure there is someone out there who would want to have her,’ Greg said.
‘Despite what she has been through with the treatment of her cancer and her long term stay at the vets, she has a very sweet nature.”
‘She will need an owner who can give her all the love and attention she so desperately needs and deserves.’
