NEW ZEALAND - One should never judge a book by its cover. You never know what a person’s true and real intentions are just by looking at them.
It may be easy to look at a biker guy and think that he is tough and somehow lives without feelings. However, that obviously isn’t always true, everyone experiences feelings and a range of different emotions, and they have nothing to do with the motorcycle that they drive.
One particular rough-looking biker man may have intimidated a rescue group momentarily when he knocked on their door in the middle of the night and began banging on it.
In reality, this burly, bearded biker was acting as a guardian angel for a tiny, defenseless kitten. The unnamed man simply showed up on the doorstep of the Kitten Inn, which is a rescue group in Lower Hutt, New Zealand, at 3 A.M. in the morning with a kitten in his pocket.
“I was awoken by someone knocking on my door. I quickly got up to see who it was,” Susan McNair, who is the founder of Kitten Inn, explained to Love Meow.
When Susan opened the door, a man who had a large beard that was covered in tattoos was standing on the other side.
Inside this big man’s pocket was a tiny kitten. He’d had been hanging out at a party when he spotted a group of girls passing the kitten around in a way that made him feel extremely uncomfortable.
He grabbed the kitten away from the girls and rushed out to get help. When asked what his name was, he avoided the question, as he felt his friends wouldn’t understand his love of cats.
While this hero remains unnamed, his kind act has not been forgotten. Not only did he give the female kitten to the Kitten Inn, he also donated $100 to help with her care. Because he acted as her guardian angel, they decided to name the little girl Harley after him and nicknamed him Harley’s Angel.
Harley was put with a mama cat who had babies, but she never did grow much in size. Despite how tiny she was, she was extremely affectionate.
The older cats all took the wee one under their wing and protected her, as well as giving her lots of love.
Two years after she was rescued, Harley is finally grown, however, she is still the size of a kitten.
The reason for her small stature is unknown but she is now a happy little girl and that’s all that matters!
