WASHINGTON, DC — This little kitty somehow found itself on the wrong side of the tracks at the Fort Totten Metro station in D.C.
On Friday morning, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s emergency management team had to briefly cut all power to the electrified third rail for the southbound Yellow and Green lines after a gray and black tabby kitten was discovered hanging out underneath it.
Crews from WMATA and the Washington Humane Society-Washington Animal Rescue League finally freed the little guy from danger. A humane society spokesman stated the kitten, who has since been named Totten, appears to be healthy otherwise.
Totten has now been transferred to the New York Avenue Adoption Center for further evaluation.
We here at The Best Cat Page wish Totten the best in finding a loving, forever home!
