UNITED KINGDOM – A rescue cat is currently looking for a loving new home to take him in – providing the person who adopts him can cope with his excessively loud purr.
Henry was accepted into the Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter following the death of his last owner.
He has completely amazed the staff with his deep, guttural sounds of contentment – which sound much like the fearsome Predator of the hit Arnold Schwarzenegger movie.
The 40-second footage shows the 13-year-old Henry happily eating his food out of a bowl – and bringing the house down with his purr .
Shelter manager Claire Tregunna stated “He has one of the biggest purrs we have heard.
“It’s amazingly loud and shows how happy he is – he would make a lovely pet for someone.”
The home is hoping someone will offer him a home and went on to add that he would make a wonderful – but perhaps noisy pet!
Claire stated “His super-loud purr makes him special and he’s ever so friendly and loves lots of fussing.
“He was happy in his pen at the shelter but we feel he would prefer to be in a homelier environment.”
“He is currently residing in the home of one or our regular cat volunteers and settling in very happily, but we would love to find him a full-time home in time for Christmas.”
