The fastest land animal in the entire world may actually be sprinting toward extinction, a new study reported just on Monday.
There are only approximately 7,100 cheetahs are left in the wild on Earth, scientists state in the study.
This may be the very best estimate yet of the global cheetah population, according to a study which was lead by author Sarah Durant of the Zoological Society of London.
