WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS - The Wichita Falls Police Department had a cat somehow sneak into one of their seized cars at the impound, and after it made itself at home, it bore a litter of kittens!
Impound Supervisor Billy Williams found the kittens when he was prepping the cars in the impound lot last week for the rains which were quickly approaching.
“Right before the rain came in last week, I came out to secure the vehicles by putting plastic over the windows I can’t necessarily roll up,” Williams said. “The mother cat leaped out of the vehicle, and that’s when I noticed the kittens. My first reaction was, ‘The mother left the kittens! What do I do with them?'”
At one point, WFPD Officer Jeff Hughes said they thought they lost the kittens, and they hadn’t seen the mother cat in several days.
Once they relocated the kittens on Friday, they decided to call in a rescue team and hopefully find the four-week-old kittens a home.
Emily’s Legacy Rescue came out to the impound this afternoon to retrieve/rescue the kittens, and after a little work, they got the kittens out of the truck and consequently on their way to a loving foster home.
