Two Cats Given CPR After Bronx Fire

QUEENS, NEW YORK - Two Queens kitties escaped a house blaze with the help of some firefighters Sunday.

The lucky felines, Kit Kat and Jinx, were plucked in a nick of time from the smoky Glendale home during a 10:18 a.m. kitchen fire.

One of the cats was saved after being spotted hiding under a pile of laundry, while the other was found huddled next to a television set. A third family cat, Bo, was found dead in a bathroom.

No other injuries were reported at the scene.

The rescued cats were then wrapped in pink blankets and hooked up to oxygen tanks.

“I picked them up and I was like, ‘I’m taking them,’ ” said neighbor Donna Steinmetz, who brought the pets to the vet.

Our condolences to the kitty who didn’t make it.
