Cat Targeted for the Second Time This Year, Loses an Eye

NORTHAMPTONSHIRE, UK - Police believe a cat in Northamptonshire is being targeted for the second time this year after it was shot with a pellet gun, once again.
Charlie the cat was shot in the Oak View area in Wellingborough somewhere between 8.45am and 3.50pm on Tuesday, December 15.

As a result of this attack, he had to have an eye removed and a pellet was found lodged inside his neck.

The pellet also caused injury to his mouth.

Charlie, who is described as a very friendly cat, was also shot with a pellet back in February, when he also received injuries to his face.

Officers investigating the case believe he may be being targeted, perhaps because of his color, as there are other cats in the area who have not been shot at.

Witnesses, or anyone knowing anything about this incident can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
