Kitten Attacked By Dogs Fights To Live With the Help of a Loving Couple

We here The Best Cat Page were particularly touched by the story of a kitten named, Morris.

We stumbled upon his story in a Facebook Cat Group called CAT PEOPLE.

Mr .Morris’s human, aptly named Faith, told us, “I want to share my story of our newest “fur baby”. This little guys name is Morris, and he has the absolute best personality.”

“Imagine me telling you he looks 100% better than the day my fiance found him while he was doing an eviction on Dec 11. He was in the back yard under a dog house, and with his wounds it appears the dogs had attacked him.”

“We immediately took him to the vet and they pushed towards putting him down. He couldn’t walk, had many open wounds and they stated he had less than a 5% chance.”

Faith continued, “We took that chance with him. He stayed at the vets for two days which cost over $200, and that was even a discount rate because they wanted to help us.”

“He was going back every two days for rechecks and to trim his dead skin. He has lost sight in one eye, which is finally shriveling up, and may still require removal, but they didn’t want to do it yet because he wasn’t strong enough.”

“He is now on twice a week visits but we can always squeeze in if we feel something is “off”. We spent many nights alternating waking up to feed him and keep fluids in him. He would give a little meow when he had to go to the bathroom and we would hold him in the box and he would go.”

“He doesn’t use the bottom part of his front paws yet, but he walks and has defied all odds. He still has vision in one eye, despite losing his “ears” he hears well, his fur on his face and head is coming back.”

“We didn’t give up on him, because he didn’t give up on himself. People ask us we spend so much to save a stray, well now, he’s our baby boy, our special kitty and we couldn’t love him more.”

“He really does get treated like a baby, and I’m grateful god choose us to take care of him.”

“All I personally ask for is prayers.”

We here at The Best Cat Page wish Mr.Morris the best on his road to recovery and discovery and will continue to update everyone on his progress.

Truly an inspiring tale of inspiration and bravery to help warm even the coldest heart this New Year’s Day.
