Cat Wanders into Stadium During NFL Game, Finds a Friend

During last Sunday’s NFL game, caused a man to spring into action when he believed the cat was going to jump off one of the balconies.

The man immediately asked security about the cat and they told him the cat is a stray and that if the man wanted to take him home, he most certainly could do that.

During the Raiders-Chiefs game, the man wearing a Packers jersey was seen cuddling with a cat in the stands at Arrowhead Stadium.

After the game, a friend of his wrote on social media: “My friend found a cat in the stadium at an NFL game. Security let him keep it.”

The man himself tells his story: “We just found it up on this balcony about to jump so Sammy grabbed it and security told us to keep it.”

He held the kitty friend in his arms during the entire game.

After the story was posted on reddit, it came to light just how well known this particular cat is!

People who have crossed paths with the same cat at the stadium, shared some of their stories. “I have seen this cat! He lives in the bushes right outside the two neighboring stadiums. I met that cat during the 2014 Royals playoffs,” said johnnyhurricane.

“I met him while tailgating for the Royals games in the summer. He just walked right up to us so we gave him some water and bits of our food. Very friendly cat,” Dannyg4821 shared.

Although the man and this cat bonded throughout the game, the cat seemed to have other plans, which did not include being taken out of the stadium and being given a forever home. As the man was attempted to leave with the cat, the cat jumped out of his arms and ran into some bushes, and the man was not able to retrieve the cat.

Apparently the stadium, is right where this independent kitty wants to be!

“The cat fought to stay near the stadium, probably for all of the food scraps,” they said.
