DUNFERMLINE, SCOTLAND – An adorable Persian kitten has been deemed an Albert Einstein look-a-like thanks to her impressive fluffy mustache.
Ten-month-old Teddy, sports fluffy white facial hair, which stands out well against her long blue-grey fur.
Teddy lives with her owner Kara Scobie in Dunfermline, Scotland after she was purchased from a breeder.
And Ms Scobie said that as soon as she showed her off to family and friends, they all remarked on her exact likeness to the famous scientist.
However, despite looking like one of the greatest brains in physics, her owner says that Teddy is often quite sleepy.
Ms Scobie, 26, stated: ‘Family and friends mentioned Teddy’s likeness to Einstein when I first brought her home at the age of nine weeks.
‘With her big moustache and curly whiskers she looked like a little mad scientist.
‘But it didn’t take us long to realise that despite her brainy looks, Teddy is actually quite silly.
‘She’s always misjudging long jumps and getting herself stuck in tight spaces.
‘She’s so entertaining to watch.’
Ms Scobie, who works as a civil servant, spotted an advert for Teddy online shortly after reserving a different Persian kitten, Nala, now aged 11 months, from a breeder.
She went on to say: ‘I’d already chosen a kitten named Nala when I spotted the photograph of Teddy with her tiny mustache.
‘I quickly showed my mum who encouraged me to get both.
‘I was so in love with Teddy’s unique markings that I couldn’t help myself.
‘Now, Nala and Teddy are the best of friends and they’re never apart.’
After making an Instagram account to show off Teddy’s mustache, Ms Scobie was quite surprised when the adorable pictures attracted 700 followers in four mouths.
She then explained: ‘All of my friends were saying how cute and unique Teddy is, so I decided to make an Instagram account for them to follow to see her pictures.
‘I was amazed to see that in just four months Teddy gained over 700 followers.
‘Everyone comments on her funny looks and says how much they enjoy seeing the posts. She’s our little star.’
