This is the heartwarming moment a five-week-old kitten was found. She was hiding under a car after her mother abandoned her.
The terrified kitty was spotted crouching by the car tire after her mother – who lived in an office parking lot scrounging for food scraps – had left her.
Images of her rescue were shared on Reddit just after she was spotted by a kind local who took her into his home and named her Axel after the car part she was found hiding under.
Redditor JustAnotherGoodGuy went on to explain how her husband managed to find the cat.
‘The mama kitty ran off. She’d been living in the office park parking lot for a couple of years, but this is the first seen of kittens. No other kittens were found.
‘My husband sent this picture and said “can I bring it home?” That’s his hand. Who could say no to that face?’
The couple immediately took her over to see a veterinarian – where she was given shots and they established the kitty was in fact a she.
‘She went to the vet straight away, and is clear-eyed and clean now”.
“She really hasn’t shown a lot of interest in going outside. She knows she’s found a good thing.”
‘Oh, she’s a keeper,’ JustAnotherGoodGuy stated. ‘She has made herself right at home with our 19 year old cat and 2 year old dog.
‘My husband sent this picture and said “can I bring it home?” That’s his hand. Who could say no to that face?’
