OREGON – A brave man rescued a cat that was stuck 100 feet near the top of a tree in Oregon on Tuesday, and it was all caught on camera.
Tyler Roth posted the video he shot of the rescue on YouTube. Roth said the cat, named Fievel, climbed 60 feet up a Douglas-fir in Hood River.
Roth, who is a certified ISA Arborist residing in Oregon State University, strapped on a GoPro and started climbing the tree to save the cat.
As Roth got closer to Fievel, the cat would immediately climb higher and higher right to the top of the tree.
After a little coaxing, however, Roth finally grabbed the cat by the scruff of the neck and put him into a bag.
Roth and the cat eventually made it safely back down to the ground together.
