Puppies and Kittens Are Coming to Macy’s Windows Next Week!

CALIFORNIA – All politics aside, there is one thing every San Franciscan agrees on: the undeniable joy that the puppies and kittens filling Macy’s windows bring each and every holiday season.

The windows, which are renown for facilitating hundreds of pet adoptions and raise money for local animal shelters every holiday season, will be opening again to the public for viewing on Friday, November 18 until January 1. This year will celebrate its 30th anniversary and the 8,800 or so animals it has so far found forever homes.

“Over the years, Macy’s generosity has helped thousands of animals find loving families during the holiday season,” stated Dr. Jennifer Scarlett, SF SPCA President. “We’re grateful to be partnering with them for our momentous 30th anniversary! Holiday Windows has become a true part of the San Francisco holiday spirit.”

Just last year, more than 750 volunteers helped to find families for 261 cats and dogs. The SF SPCA (in conjunction with Macy’s San Francisco) is now looking for volunteers for this year.

For those who don’t happen to live in the area, the SF SPCA will be live streaming the windows on their official site.
