WARWICKSHIRE, ENGLAND - Tinkerbell and Tom were rescued by two nurses from Avondale Veterinary Centres who have now adopted them
Tinkerbell and Tom were rescued by veterinary nurses, Lauren Young and Poppy Carroll, who took their duties to the next level by acting as surrogate mothers to the tiny kittens.
Lauren has taken Tinkerbell to the surgery with her every day, as well as teaching her how to use a litter tray.
Tom was found hiding under a tomato plant at Ryton Garden Centre with his brother. Sadly however, Tom was the only cat to survive.
At six-weeks-old, he is now thriving under the loving care of Poppy.
Both kittens have had to be bottle fed every two hours, even through the night as is standard with kittens at such tender ages.
Poppy said: “Tom is six weeks old now and is doing extremely well. He comes everywhere with me – the rugby club, the supermarket, out to dinner and even to work. The team at the surgery have all bonded with him.”
Soon the kittens will receive their initial vaccinations making them ready to explore the outside world.
