Haldimand County OPP say all of this happened on Sandusk Road, near Walpole Concession Road #13 in Hagersville (northeast of Port Dover), around 12:20 p.m. on Saturday. A person saw it happen and immediately notified police.
Officers investigated and say the accused was simply seeking to “discard” the cats.
After a search of the area, they found two of the three cats. One was fine and the other had suffered minor injuries. The third cat was not found.
The two kittens are currently being treated by the Hagersville Veterinary Services and will later be handed over to the Welland OSPCA (Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
Nicole Morrow, 31, has been officially charged with three counts of cruelty to animals.
