One man refused to give up on this wee one.
Faint meows alerted customers from a Fontana Costco parking lot in California that a kitten was trapped.
David Loop of Sierra Pacific FurBabies and many other Fontana residents learned about the whereabouts of the kitten thanks to various modes of social media and came to this precious one’s aid.
“David Loop arrived at 1:30 pm on Sunday and the kitten was finally pulled out at 10:30 pm on Monday,” Chris Poole of Cole and Marmalade said.
When Loop first arrived at premises, he tried to get into the storm drain but it was just way too small.
The kitten could be heard but not seen.
The rescue continued.
Then the rain set in which washed away all the food they had sent down to the kitten to eat.
Crews worked overnight non-stop to retrieve this little one.
Finally, one man was lowered down and miraculously plucked the kitty from peril.
They named the kitten Piper and he weighed in at one pound and half an ounce.
