Kitten Hurled From Moving Car on Busy Expressway in Florida Now Recovering

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA - A kitten thrown from a car window on the Arlington Expressway Service Road is currently getting a second chance thanks to the Jacksonville Humane Society.

The kitten was brought to JHS with very severe damage around the skin of his jaw line, leaving him unable to eat or drink anything. The day after JHS Hospital Medical Director Stan Hill performed surgery, the kitten was once again able to eat and meow, according to a release from JHS.

The kitten was named Harrison after actor Harrison Ford by his foster parent because of the fact that both the actor and the kitten have a scar on their faces. The foster parent, a JHS customer care specialist, has decided to keep Harrison and give him a forever home.

“Stories like these are always heartbreaking, but we are so thankful that we were able to give Harrison the second chance he deserves,” declared Denise Deisler, JHS Executive Director, in a release. “Without the work of our veterinary team and support from our many donors, this story might’ve had a different ending.”
