ILLINOIS - The Macon County Sheriff’s Office is now saying a second person has been arrested in connection with a video that was posted showing a kitten being kicked.
Deputies have announced that Jatavia Singleton, 19, was also arrested just after 10:00 p.m. Wednesday night. Singleton is now facing charges of aggravated cruel treatment of animals and depiction of animal cruelty. Authorities explained that both charges are class 4 felonies.
The Macon County Sheriff’s Office arrested Alexus Lowery, who is 18, in connection with the alleged abuse on June 16.
The investigation into this incident will be ongoing.
