Bobby the Cat Uses Up One of His Nine Lives After Surviving Washing Machine Spin Cycle!

UNITED KINGDOM – A cat miraculously survived a 60C washing machine cycle after falling asleep inside.

Nine-month-old Bobby managed to somehow creep into the drum and hid under a blanket before the hot wash began.

Just minutes later owner Lisa Keefe heard a very loud banging sound — and spotted the terrified puss spinning round inside.

She took Bobby out but he was on the verge of collapse as she took him to the pet hospital.

Vets stated he was very lucky to survive.

Lisa, who is 47, explained: “I had taken Bobby outside, but he snuck back in when my back was turned.

“I rushed to the machine and could see the colour of his fur mixed in with the quilt. I was petrified.”

Crossbreed Bobby was medically treated for shock, needed IV fluids and ended up being monitored overnight.

Vet Tamsin Thomas stated: “I’ve certainly never heard of a cat surviving a wash machine cycle.”

Lisa, of The Meadows, Nottingham, went on to add: “I think Bobby’s learned his lesson the hard way. He doesn’t go anywhere near the washer anymore.”

Bobby has recently been nominated for a PDSA Pet Survivor award.
