Just the same as us humans, mama cats are extremely protective of their young.
In the inspiring video below, you will see a young kitten in trouble, he’s fallen down an embankment and is struggling to climb back up.
You can clearly see just how concerned the mother is as she paces around looking for a way to rescue her baby but in his attempts to climb back up, he just ends up falling even further and like the perfect mother she is, she instinctively jumps down straight after him.
