Nissan has just launched a campaign in Japan that could save lives, but not just any lives — cat lives. The campaign is being called “knock knock cats.”

The campaign’s mission is to have drivers knock on the hood before starting their cars up. Cats in Japan and everywhere crawl inside hoods of cars or on top of tires to sleep. And not only when it’s cold and snowy and rainy.

City officials say there are about 60 thousand stray cats roaming free in Tokyo each and every day, reports The Wall Street Journal, and hope this campaign will save our furry friends.
