UPDATE – On Kittens Who Were “Discarded” in a Suitcase in New York Back in March!

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — The same NYPD officer who helped rescue seven kittens abandoned in a suitcase has decided to adopt one of them herself.

Back on March 19, NYPD officers found the grey kittens discarded in a suitcase in a parking lot near the Williamsburg Bridge.

This weekend, three of the kittens were adopted after a total of weeks of recovering at the ASPCA.

NYPD officer Nicole Piridis from the 90th Precinct finally got to take home Dmitry, a 3-month-old kitten from the group. Piridis does not have any other pets and has given him a new name … “Apollo.”

Piridis’ close friend also adopted Inessa, who she renamed “Persephone.” A third male kitten named “Ilyo” was adopted just on Sunday.
