UPDATE – Teenage Cat Kicking Suspect Will NOT Be Charged!

ENGLAND – A teenage boy who was recently arrested in connection with a video of a cat being kicked into the air has been released without charge.

The 16-year-old was arrested in south London on suspicion of animal cruelty back on Wednesday after the shocking video emerged.

However, he has been “eliminated from enquiries” and police now believe the incident took place in Surrey.

Surrey police are currently appealing for witnesses to the video, which shows a young man coaxing the cat towards him before he strokes its head.

The young man then steps back and forcefully kicks it in the stomach, launching the terrified animal into the air across a driveway.

A police spokesman stated: “Surrey Police is investigating a report of animal cruelty which was captured on video and circulated via social media.

“The incident is believed to have taken place on the evening of Wednesday 14 September in Bloomsbury Close in Epsom.

“The video was initially reported to the Metropolitan Police where a 16-year-old boy was arrested but later eliminated from enquiries and no further arrests have been made.”
