Cat Found Covered In Concrete Needs Our Prayers

BRISTOL, ENGLAND – A cat has recently been rushed to a vet after being found taking shelter on a door step.

The cat was covered in concrete.

Faye Richards, from Withywood, returned to her home to find the ginger tom huddled outside her house and in need of emergency treatment.

“At first I thought it was a screwed up ball of brown parcel tape that had been blown onto my front step.”

“It was only when I got closer I realized it was a cat.

“It had started to go rock hard on his back, but his belly was still soaking wet and he could barely open his eyes.”

Mrs Richards rushed the animal to ‘The Vet’ in Hengrove, which is where she takes her three cats. She then posted pictures of the cat to a popular Facebook page for lost and found pets.

“I don’t know if it was deliberate or not. I can’t think of anywhere round here where there is cement for him to fall into.”

“You would hate to think of something doing this intentionally but you do hear of it happening.”

“I just hope he is going to be okay.”

The cat has no microchip to identify him and has not been neutered, has now been completely shaved.

This cat is expected to make a full recovery.

Mrs Richards, who found the cat Thursday, said: “I called the vets on Friday to see how he was doing. They said they thought he would be okay, and that one of the vets was taking him home to foster him.

“I don’t think they have found the owners, but apparently they have had a lot of calls from people who are concerned about him after seeing the picture of him I posted on Facebook.”

One can only hope someone didn’t do this to him on purpose.
