The cat’s distraught owner put up literaly dozens of posters to trace the animal – and couldn’t believe when he was found.
This pet cat was found a total of 4 years after he disappeared from his family home during a storm – wandering streets just around the corner.
Cat Louie disappeared without a trace back in 2012 despite owner Joan Talbot putting up dozens of posters in the streets around her home.
But Joan, 69, was shocked when she received a call from the RSPCA recently to say 14-year-old Louie had been found four years on – wandering the streets near her home in Cardiff.
Inspectors called Joan once they discovered Louie had been microchipped.
RSPCA inspector Selina Chan stated: “We were called to attend to a cat in the area after the caller was concerned about his health.
“We suspected he may have been poisoned but after being put on a drip he was drinking and eating well.”
Joan, 69, stated: “It is a fantastic example of how pets can be reunited if they are microchipped.
“I just can’t get over that he has been found. We didn’t know what had happened to him.
“He wasn’t a cat to wander. I’m just so pleased to have him home and spoiling him rotten.”
