Cat Who Went Viral for Stalking Customers at a Sainsbury Store Going Viral Again

BROCKLEY, LONDON – After some time away, it seems Olly is up to his old tricks again, stalking customers at Sainsbury’s, and residents have been sharing pictures of the cat on social media.

Staff and shoppers in a Sainsbury’s in Brockley are mystified yet charmed by a cat who has made a local shop his home.

The cat was first spotted in November by a Twitter user who uploaded an image of the cat to the social network.

Apparently, staff tried to remove him, but Olly just kept “sauntering back in.”

At one point, Olly had disappeared for a while – but has now returned to the shop and is quickly reclaiming internet stardom. (After all, even the best of celebrities do need a break now and then.)

Residents of Brockley in the “I Love SE4” Facebook group have been referring to him as the “star of Brockley” saying that we should “forget Grumpy Cat, because we have Brockley Cat”.

Evidently, Olly the cat is apparently very friendly. One resident wrote in the group: “He was flat out on the mat yesterday by the door under the heated fans. Everyone was stopping to give him a tickle.”

A spokesperson for this particular Brockley branch in Sainsbury’s said: “He lives in the house next door and he’s in here every day, all the time. He’s not allowed to be here, the staff like him, but he is a health and safety risk.”
