Forsberg, who is the golden retriever, and Ginger, the orange tabby cat in the photo, were completely inseparable. They actually couldn’t be found most days cuddling, snuggling, and just hanging out with each other!
Then sadly, tragedy struck when Ginger, 15, got thyroid cancer and passed on leaving Forsberg lost without his little feline buddy.
How do you explain death and loss to a dog?
Forsberg actually spent a lot of time trying to find Ginger, but to not avail. He quickly became lonely and depressed. Forberg’s owner, whose name is Jen Philion, couldn’t handle the sadness and misery anymore and decided to do something about it!
Jen got Forsberg a brand new feline buddy, who was named Max, and everyone hoped they would hit it off.
As you can clearly see, Forsberg happily accepted this tiny cat into his life. It was as though he had a special place in his heart for his new little friend! Max can always be found snuggling next to Forsberg just like Ginger did.
Happily, Forsberg was alone no longer!
Just one year later and Max is a lot bigger but still likes hanging out with his canine brother, Forsberg.
Nobody will ever replace Ginger, but Forsberg clearly has enough love for two cats!
Endings don’t get any happier that that, folks!
