LAKELAND, FLORIDA – It seems baseball has long favored dogs. The Dog Days of Summer, Bring-Your-Dog-to-the-Ballpark Day, loose wiener dogs, suited-up Danes, even dugout poodles — you name it: it’s a dog’s world.
This time the cats had their moment in the sun!
A Lakeland Flying Tigers game in Lakeland, Fla., was “tempurrarily” delayed Thursday when the stadium’s resident cat, Henley the Eighth, decided to take the field.

Before this particular night, Henley the Eighth “had not previously shown much interest in baseball,” according to MiLB.com.

For the record, Henley the Eighth lives in a box!
