WALES – Wayward cat Taff’s travels have now come to an end – at least for now – after she was reunited with her owner after taking a tour of a South Wales town in a stranger’s car.
The friendly feline from Pyle, which is near Bridgend, got into a car just last Wednesday and was driven to Bridgend town centre and then to Tesco Extra in Cowbridge Road before the car owner noticed.
She had absolutely no idea where she had come from, though, as she had her back door and boot open at both locations and hadn’t noticed her jump in.
And so the cat was quickly handed over to Cats Protection Bridgend, who named her Mercedes and appealed on WalesOnline and social media for information.
Centre manager Sue Dobbs stated that owner Glen Colbridge from Pyle got in touch after seeing a post on Facebook.
“She has now being happily reunited with her family who live in Pyle,” stated Sue.
“She is called Taff, and apparently likes to jump into the family car!”
Taff once belonged to Glen’s mother Caroline Colbridge.
