NEWPORT NEWS, VIRGINIA. – Newport News firefighters helped a homeowner to reunite with her missing cat after a fire in her home on Friday.
Newport News Fire crews were sent to the home located in the 900 block of Etna Drive just after 11 a.m.
When they arrived there, they quickly extinguished a kitchen fire.
The homeowner’s cat was missing for a brief period, but firefighters were able to find the cat and hand it back over to the grateful owner.
