Tennessee Animal Control Searches for Suspect(s) Who Dumped Two Kittens

CLARKSVILLE, TENNESSEE. – Montgomery County Animal Care and Control is now asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect that officials believe dumped two kittens on Hazelwood Rd.

One kitten is dead and the other is receiving medical care at Tiny Town Animal Clinic for abrasions and injuries to its mouth.

An Animal Control officer drove past a black object curled up in the snow on the side of Hazelwood Road on his way to work Feb. 11.

Approximately 30 feet down the road the officer discovered a deceased 6-month-old tortoise shell kitten. The officer turned around to check on the black object curled up in the snow and found the second kitten trembling and near death.

The officer picked up the black tortoise shell kitten and immediately transported her to the Tiny Town Vet Clinic. The deceased kitten was transported directly to Animal Control.

If anyone saw the kittens being dumped, struck, killed, or injured, or if you recognize these kittens, please call Animal Control at 931-648-5750.
