A very lucky kitten was rescued from underneath an extremely active train track in New York by a subway employee after causing all of the power to be shut down and delays during rush hour.
The nail-biting footage below shows the terrified kitten cowering below the metal rails, which are actually charged with 625 volts, making the kitten’s survival remarkable.
New Yorker Pierre Gervois, who is 48, managed to capture the moment the MTA worker nudged the cat and gently pulled it free, to cheers of happiness and applause from commuters at the Rockaway Avenue station in Brownsville, Brooklyn.
