Lucy is a foster kitten who is just now learning how to be a cat - and how adorable the lessons are!

You can see that Lucy's vision and gait are a bit off, but she's improving every day. Sometimes it seems like she can see ok, but her response is a few inches off. Hopefully as she grows stronger, she will compensate for any neurological difficulties she may have.

Learning the right way to eat!

Solid Food Training: I gave Lucy a few tastes of her high-calorie slurry with a syringe to remind her that she likes it and wants more. I set out both a bowl and a plate full of slurry so she could practice eating on her own. Felix showed her how to lick off the plate. But Lucy does things her own way. 😂😂 I'll give her the rest of her dinner via syringe and try again tomorrow. Marvin will be thrilled when he sees how deliciously dirty his kitten is.

Still needs a little help getting her butt cleaned!

Kittens as young as Lucy need to be stimulated to go potty after eating. In the absence of a mommy cat, we use a tissue to help her urinate. Also, Lucy has a very grumpy meow. It's kind of the best. 😂
