Just last week, we brought you a news article about a guy who got revenge on his cat who keeps waking him up every day at 4 am.
Nicolas Tecosky snuck up on his sleeping and unsuspecting little puss, Italics, and then meowed loudly in his ears.
The poor kitty jumped out of his skin and sat startled on the bed.
Only a stone cold hearted person would do that!
Many of us questioned the morality of his actions but concluded that sleep deprivation can, indeed, have really strange effects on people.
We were not alone in our thoughts.
Youtuber Cat Man Chris, AKA Chris Poole has created his own ‘Vengeance Meow’ video.
He owns two gorgeous cats – Cole and Marmalade – and he also says that his cats wake him up most nights.
In his own version, you will see Marmalade sleeping peacefully, and like Nicolas before him, Cat Man Chris sneaks up nice and close – ready to pounce.
‘Am I gonna be a big jerk and wake him up?’ asks Poole.
‘Nope! That’s what cats do… DEAL WITH IT!’
The truth of the matter is – no amount of meowing in a cat’s face is going to reset its internal clock.
Chris then lovingly strokes and kisses the cat like the WONDERFUL GUY HE IS before leaving it to continue sleeping.
And of course, cat people all over the world are loving him for it.
‘Thank you. I was so angry when I saw that video going around,’ replied Loor Batu – referring to the original vengeance meow video.
‘Cats don’t understand “revenge” and there are always other ways to help adapt your cat to your sleep schedule.
