PENNSYLVANIA – A Lancaster man is now facing animal cruelty charges after reportedly leaving five cats at a Lancaster Township apartment from which he had been evicted.
Jeremy Palm, who is 25 and has no known address, is being accused of leaving the cats at the apartment on the 1100 block of East King Street after being evicted Jun. 1. Manheim Township police explained that the cats were left without food, water or air conditioning. One cat was found still alive and was taken to the county’s Organization for Responsible Care of Animals. Four other cats were found dead.
Palm is charged with a total of four counts of cruelty to animals. Online court records were not readily available at the time of this post for preliminary hearing information.
