This family lost nearly everything in war and had to move and leave everything behind. These people left everything but they did not leave their precious cat behind!
Ever since the civil war in Syria began in 2011, more than half a million people lost their lives and about 11 million people were forced to leave the country looking for a better tomorrow.
One such family walked hundreds of miles across Turkey and various other countries. And that family, like no others, brought their cat along with them. They simply couldn’t bear to leave her behind in that horror.
This cat’s real mom was killed by a bomb just after he was born. Luckily, this family found him and pulled him from the ruins of a bomb-ravaged house in Damascus.
The family named him Tabboush, which means “chubby” in Arabic. When they realized they had to flee their home and country, they walked literally hundreds of miles to get to Idomeni, Greece. They decided to bring little Tabboush with them.
At the migrant camps, Tabboush brought joy happiness to the other families and children. Plenty people were living in tents, hoping for a better tomorrow.
“He eats with us, drinks with us, sleeps with us and wakes up with us too,” the family stated.
“He is my life,” one of the younger girls in the family noted. “I could not live without my Tabboush”.
Humanitarian workers are currently trying to locate them, to make sure they got to a safe new place that they can call a home again.
Unfortunately, due to the high number of families and people, they haven`t had any luck yet in locating them.
“He is a part of our family,” they revealed back in April.
“We could never give him up or leave him behind”.
