NORTH CAROLINA – A public utilities crew that is based in Raleigh is used to fixing water main breaks in the city, but, earlier this week, they answered a different kind of call. This particular one came in the form of “meows!”
One of the workers heard three kittens crying and discovered them in the undercarriage of an excavator.
A crew member explained to CBS North Carolina that they think mother cat hid the kittens in the piece of equipment at their shop off the Beltline.
Workers didn’t hear the kittens until they began working near Cameron Village.
They tried to find the kitten’s mother, but weren’t able to.
The kittens are currently all doing well and are at a shelter.
