This is the bittersweet story of Mao!
She was rescued when the family’s house caught fire, but during all the chaos – went missing – and was missing for over a year and a half.
She eventually managed to end up at Wayside Waifs, which is located Kansas City, Missouri.
That is where she was checked for a microchip and her original owners were contacted.
Their reunion was a very emotional one!
Mao’s family thought all along that she had already probably already passed away.
Her family was ecstatic to get the cal and before long, Mao was back!
