SPAIN – It’s very easy to judge a book by its cover these days. Even when someone is doing something incredibly compassionate like adopting an animal, it’s also very easy to treat the process like a “shopping experience” and look for the youngest and cutest animals.
That process can easily leave out senior animals or ones that have deformities. Romeo, the kitty in the video at the end of this article, for example, was born with a deformity which caused him to look a little different than most typical cats.
Although Romeo is clearly as playful and fun-loving as any other kitty, he was completely rejected by all who saw him, seemingly destined to never have a forever home to call his own. Fortunately for Romeo, though, the sweet people at Santuario Compasión Animal stepped in and gave this adorable kitty a brand new lease on life!
Now Romeo is in the safe, loving, and compassionate hands of this sanctuary and will live out his days somewhere where he is not only accepted for who he is but loved and celebrated. Romeo is a wonderful reminder to us all that, just like humans, no animal is perfect but each and every one of them deserves love.
