LYNN, MASSACHUSETTS — Franklin the cat is now home safe after being stolen and missing for a week.

The furry mascot of Pet Express, which is locacted in Lynn was returned by Maria Barahona, who was driving–on Franklin Street–when she spotted the missing black cat, recognizing him from “missing” posters.

Barahona carefully went after Franklin herself, and brought him back to the store.

“I was happy that I found him, excited that he’s back where he belongs, he’s home,” stated Barahona. “When I brought him in it was like they won the lottery, that’s how happy they were.”

“On Friday night, we received a call that someone had found Frankie,” wrote the store’s owners on a Facebook post Saturday.

“This person is our hero! We are so proud and impressed from the help of our community, the Lynn police, Lynn dog officer, and everyone that posted and shared his posters on facebook, and mostly the calls of support and all the prayers.”
