What One Family Did For a Freezing Family of Cats

Once again, its that time if year where we ditch the shorts and tank tops and replace them with warm coats, hot chocolate, and thick, cozy blankets.

It’s important to remember that while we’re cozy and warm, stray animals such as dogs and cats are freezing their little tails off! Luckily, there are some things you can do to help make the bitter winter a bit more comfortable for them.

Or, if you want to be really awesome, you can go the extra mile like one family in Montreal did.

When the frigid temperature in Montreal dropped to -33 degrees Celsius (-27 degrees Fahrenheit), the cat an these photos and her baby took shelter from the cold in a family’s solarium.

These cats had never lived with humans before. In the past, they would flee whenever the family got too close. Luckily they were trusting enough to allow them to take cute photos.

Their gracious human hosts fed them too! This might have been the first decent food these cats have had in a long time.

The cats became more trusting with each and every passing day. You know what they say, the way to a cat’s heart is through its belly!

The solarium wasn’t heated, but eliminating the windchill was just what the doctor ordered for these cats!

The winter months take a heavy toll on wild animals especially when it starts to snow and ice begins to form.

We here at The Best Cat Page are grateful for what this family has done for these cats!

Without this family’s help, these two kitties may not have survived the winter!
