SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA – A Carmel Valley woman was recently bitten by a bobcat after mistaking it for a house cat.
The woman believed she had run over a cat on El Camino Real near Derby Downs Road around 9:30 p.m.
She was bitten by the bobcat after she got out of her car to check on the injured animal.
The woman was treated on site.
The bobcat was tranquilized and Animal Control is currently being tested the animal for rabies.
