FRESNO, CALIFORNIA – Just outside the city of Parlier is where the Cat House on the Kings is located and is home to nearly 1,000 cats.
Louise Veronneau and Dominic Husson met in Quebec and decided to ultimately get married after dating for the past three years.
They have traveled around the world together and learned that they both have an undying passion for animals, especially cats.
“I saw that we were sharing the same values,” Veronneau stated. “These are values these are the basics of our relationship and out love for animals and beings.”
“We are both animal lovers and it was easy,” Husson explained. “She is a great person, that is why I married her.”
This is the groom’s very first visit to the cat sanctuary but this the second time here for the bride.
Back in 2012, Louise stopped by there during a previous trip to California.
She absolutely loved it and put it on her bucket list to return after she met the caregivers and founder.
“I fell in love,” Veronneau stated. “I feel in love with the work Lynea and her team is doing for the cats and the rescuing.”
Lynea Lattanzio is the true power behind the largest cage free, no-kill cat sanctuary in North America. She also officiated the wedding although she claims she was hesitant at first.
“When I was first asked to do it I said no I didn’t want to do it,” she commented. “I was afraid I would make a mess and screw it up – you know, forget my lines.”
The Canadian couple somehow convinced her to become ordained so she could perform the ceremony, and now Dominic and Louise are ready to live happily ever after.
